GLENBURN, Maine — Jesse Guerin, son of Joseph and Stacey Guerin of Glenburn, has attained the high rank and distinction of Eagle Scout. Jesse’s Eagle Scout presentation was held at a special ceremony at Camp Roosevelt in Eddington. Jesse joins two of his older brothers, Andrew and Caleb Guerin, in reaching the rank of Eagle Scout. For his Eagle Scout project, Jesse prepared a historical display for the Kenduskeag Town Office, preserving the history of the landmark green bridge in Kenduskeag village. An avid scout, Jesse is a member of Troop 478 in Orono and Crew 63 in Newport. He has been a camp counselor at Camp Roosevelt for several years, teaching rock climbing and, as an Assistant Senior Patrol Leader for a contingent of scouts, represented Maine at the National Boy Scout Jamboree in West Virginia in 2013.

Eagle Scout is the highest award in Boy Scouting and is given for excellence in skills development, leadership, personal growth and community service.
