Selectmen in Thomaston and voters in Owls Head picked representatives Monday night to the Rockland area school board.

Noreen Mullaney was appointed by the selectmen at their meeting. Mullaney and Ronald Gamage were the two names before the board.

Mullaney succeeds Marla McGeady, who resigned earlier this month. Mullaney’s term will run through June 2015.

McGeady was appointed to the seat by selectmen in October 2013. She won a three-year seat in June through a write-in effort.

During Owls Head’s annual town meeting Monday, incumbent Sally Carleton was re-elected without opposition from a floor vote.

Regional School Unit 13 has a 12-member board that includes representatives from Rockland, St. George, South Thomaston and Cushing. Thomaston has two members and Owls Head one.

Also at the Owls Head town meeting, David Matthews was elected to the board of selectmen. He succeeds Nancy Colson, who served for 18 years but did not seek another term.
