WASHINGTON — An active shooter has been reported at Fort Lee, Virginia, and the U.S. Army installation has been locked down, the base said on its Facebook page on Monday.

The incident was reported at the base’s Combined Arms Support Command Headquarters, Building 5020, according to the statement.

“All personnel should enact active shooter protocols immediately,” the statement said.

A spokesman for the base, about 100 miles south of Washington, had no further details.
