PASSADUMKEAG – William Hart Moore, 69, died August 19, 2014 at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 3, 1945 in Old Town a son of John and Eva (Brilliant) Moore.
Bill owned and operated Moore’s Machine Shop with his father for many years. He also was employed at Old Town Canoe and Bath Iron Works as a welder. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, or time spent at camp on Brandy Pond. He also served with the Air National Guard Unit in Bangor.
He is survived by his companion of 14 years Martha Beers of Passadumkeag; a son Shawn Moore of Utah; two daughters Shannon Gardiner and her husband Arthur of Brewer and Victoria Moore and her fiancé Coty Hadley of Waterville; two grandchildren Paige Watts and Zakery Boutilier; two brothers Richard Moore and his wife Jodi of MA and Bruce Moore of Old Town; and a large extended family. He was predeceased by a sister Beverly Moore and a Brother Robert “Bobby” Moore.
A graveside service will be conducted 10AM Saturday at Gould’s Ridge Cemetery, Passadumkeag. Bill had a love for all animals and in so honoring him, memorial contributions may be made to the Old Town Animal Orphanage P.O. Box 565 Orono, ME 04473
