NEWPORT – Lois D. Copeland, 85, passed away August 17, 2014 at a Pittsfield hospital following a brief illness. She was born April 12, 1929 in Pittsfield, the daughter of Casper and Violet (Bartley) Bryant. She graduated from Newport High School, Class of 1947. In June of 1948, she married Rodney “Buddy” Copeland.
Lois was employed at Pray’s Motel and later, as floral clerk at Bud’s Shop ‘N Save, both of Newport. Most of all she dedicated her life to her loving family.
In addition to her husband of 66 years, she is survived by 3 daughters, Stacy Chabre and Lisa Boggs, both of Newport, and Cindy Sullivan of North Fort Myers, FL; 1 grandchild, Kurt and wife Heather MacKenzie of Palmyra; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Keith Bryant.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 P.M., Thursday, August 21st at the Pittsfield Village Cemetery with the Rev. George Perkins officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Those who wish may leave written tributes at www.CrosbyNeal.com
