CARIBOU – Caribou-Dolores M. Sperry, 82, wife of the late Gardner Sperry, died August 12, 2014 at Presque Isle. She was born in Caribou August 12, 1932 the daughter of the late Armand and Ida (Guerrette) Fournier. Mrs. Sperry was a graduate of Caribou High School and was employed as a school lunch cook with the Caribou School Department for many years. She was a faithful member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She is survived by two sons and a daughter in law Steven Sperry of Woodland and Mitch and Carlene Sperry of Auburn. Two daughters and sons in law; Carolyn and Roger Chapman of Houlton and Marsha and Mike Bolier of Presque Isle. Two brothers; Raymond Fournier of Connecticut and Franklin Fournier of Caribou. Three sisters; Rachel Bauer of Ohio, Doreen McCarthy of Woodland and Marlene Habeeb of Caribou. Nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sperry was predeceased by her husband, Gardner, a brother Rocky Fournier, a sister, Lorraine White and a daughter in law Brenda Sperry .Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou 6-8 pm Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am Monday August 18, 2014 from the Parish of the Precious Blood Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Following the services all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the parish hall. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Sperry may do so to the charity of one’s choice.
