Donna M. Michaud

MEDWAY – Donna M. Michaud, 62, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at her home, with her family by her side, after a long illness. She was born May 12, 1952 in Lincoln, the daughter of Herschel and Elizabeth (O’Neill) Delano.
Donna grew up in Lincoln, and relocated to East Millinocket. She married James L. Michaud, Jr. in 1975, and they have lived in Medway since then, where they raised their family. Donna enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens, and spending time with family, especially time with her grandchildren at camp.
She is survived by her parents, Herschel Delano of Zephyrhills, Florida, and Elizabeth O’Neill of East Millinocket; her husband of 38 years, James L. Michaud, Jr. of Medway; three sons, Jeff Hamm and his wife Wendy of Sherman Mills, Mike Hamm and his wife Darci of Norway, and Jim Michaud III of Howland; five sisters, Barbara Tierney of Concord, California, Pam Blaisdell and her husband Ray of Manchester, New Hampshire, Cheryl Cook and her husband Ernie of West Ossipee, NH, Lisa Gagnon and her husband Dan of Hollis Center, MaryEllen Thompson and her husband Norm of East Millinocket, and Nancy Poulin of Jefferson; and five grandchildren, Kelsey Hamm, Garrett Hamm, Gavin Hamm, Evan Hamm, and Dylan Michaud; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Donna will also be missed by a special friend, Lawrence Foster of Medway.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 12 – 2 P.M. Friday, August 15 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, with funeral services beginning at 2 P.M. with Donna’s cousin, Billy Chesley, officiating. Interment will be after at the Grindstone Road Cemetery, Medway. Gifts in memory of Donna may be sent to the Katahdin Area Support Group, P.O.
