By Stephen Betts, BDN Staff

ROCKPORT, Maine — Police are looking for a truck stolen Monday morning from a landscaping company. Another stolen truck was found in the firm’s parking lot.

A green 2002 Ford F350 truck was discovered missing at 6:30 a.m. from Seasons Downeast Designs on Meadow Street in Rockport, according to Rockport police Sgt. Travis Ford. The company owner also found a white pickup truck parked in the lot with its keys in it.

That truck was determined to have been stolen during the night from the parking lot of the Trade Winds Motor Inn in neighboring Rockland. The keys had been left in the truck stolen from Rockland as well as from the Rockport business.

The Seasons Downeast Designs owner told police that keys are not left in the vehicles but that an employee must have forgotten.
