HOLLIS — A Massachusetts man driving his motorcycle in Hollis lost his foot in a Saturday morning accident, state police said.

Armand Lambert, 65, went around a sharp turn near the intersection of Route 35 and Saco Road at about 11 a.m. when police said he crossed the center line, scraped the edge of an SUV driven by Jennifer Ridolfi, 41, of Dayton and crashed.

Roads in the area were shut down for an hour. Lambert was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police have yet to speak with Lambert but say his unfamiliarity with the road, the sharp turn and poor road conditions may have contributed to the accident.

The accident remains under investigation, but no charges are expected, according to police.
