ALTON – James Philip Megquier, 24, died August 4, 2014 at his home as a result of a tragic accident. He was born Feb. 26, 1990 in Bangor, the son of Philip Megquier of Glenburn and Deborah (Trask) Megquier of Hudson.

James was a 2009 graduate of Central High School, Corinth. He was employed by David P. Trask and Son Inc. He loved hunting, fishing, cutting wood and playing guitar. James loved going to the family camp at Jo-Mary Lake.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Jennifer Megquier of Glenburn and Renee Megquier of Hudson; a special niece, Sheena Jean; grandmothers, Jean Cole Megquier of Glenburn and Ruth Allen Trask of Hudson; uncle David and Lisa Trask of Hudson; aunt Deanna Gould of Hudson; cousins, great uncles and great aunts; his fiancée Drusilla Beatty and her three sons, Dominic, Brent and Dante. He is also survived by a large extended family and many friends. He was predeceased by his grandfathers Joseph Megquier and David Trask Sr. and great-grandparents.

Friends may call from 3-5 PM Friday, Aug. 8, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, where funeral services will be held at 5 PM with Deacon Fred Harrigan officiating.
