VEAZIE AND AMHERST – Elinor “Ellie” J. Perry, 88, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2014. She was born in Bangor on August 17, 1925, the daughter of LeRoy Jellison and Abigail (Wilson) Jellison. Ellie was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Donald A Perry Sr.; daughter, Judith Perry and son, Donald A. Perry Jr. Ellie enjoyed working as a librarian at the John R. Graham school for 32 years. The library was dedicated in honor of Ellie. She also enjoyed working in her gardens, and tending to her Jack Russells and herd of dairy goats. Ellie was one of the hardest working women that we have known.

She is survived by her son, Thomas and wife, Lisa Perry, of Hermon; and her daughters, Marianne Cox of Dover-Foxcroft, Juanita Wainwright of Tenants Harbor and Suzanne Guerin of Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Cindy Perry, 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; special nephews, Randy and Mike Jellison and families.

A gathering will be held Saturday, August 9, at her son’s home, 16 Maple Leaf Lane, Hermon, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Pine Tree 4-H Foundation for a scholarship to be established, for the 4-H dairy goat team to travel to the Eastern States Exposition.
