ALTON – James Philip Megquier, 24, died August 4, 2014 at his home as a result of a tragic accident. He was born Feb. 26, 1990 in Bangor, the son of Philip Megquier of Glenburn and Deborah (Trask) Megquier of Hudson.
James was a 2009 graduate of Central High School, Corinth. He was employed by David Trask and Son Construction. He loved hunting and fishing, cutting wood and playing guitar. James loved going to the family camp at Jo-Mary Lake. He was a much loved son, brother, grandson and friend.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Jennifer Megquier and Renee Megquier; a niece, Sheena Gould; an uncle, David Trask and Lisa and an aunt, Deanna Gould; grandmothers, Jean Megquier and Ruth Trask, his fiancée, Drusilla Beatty and her three sons, Dominic, Brent and Dante. He is also survived by a large extended family and many friends. He was predeceased by grandfathers, Joseph Megquier and David Trask Sr.
Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, where funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. with Deacon Fred Harrigan officiating.
