Emera workers trying to determine cause of power outage in Milo area

MILO, Maine — Workers from Emera Maine are trying to figure out what caused a power outage to more than 1,000 customers in the Milo area, according to a company press release.

The outage primarily affects Milo, Atkinson, Orneville Township, Williamsburg Township, Sebec and Bowerbank. The number of customers affected by the outage totaled 1,333 at about 4:30 p.m.

Emera listed outages by county as three in Aroostook, 176 in Hancock, three in Washington and 1,151 in northern Penobscot and Piscataquis counties.

There was no indication of how long it would take to restore power.
