Pluma Myra (Bagley) Pike

CAMBRIDGE – Pluma Myra (Bagley) Pike, 75, died August 2, 2014, surrounded by family. She was born July 22, 1939, in Parkman, the daughter of Alphes and Myra (Getchell) Bagley.

Throughout the years, Pluma enjoyed her gardening, Knitting, physical therapy visits, playing bingo with the girls, listening to music, being surrounded by her pictures, going for long rides to get fried clams, and seeing the many children who called her “Aunt Plummie”.

She is survived by her four daughters, Sheila and her husband, John Ronco of Dexter, Cheryl and her husband, Doug Bussell of Parkman, Bonnie Pike and her partner, Anita Overlock of Cambridge, and Brenda Pike and her boyfriend, Jason Braley of Massachusetts; as well as their children, Mallory, Lucas, and Kelly Bussell, Nicole Ronco, Aimee King, Angie Brown, Shane Overlock, Steve Overlock and their families; honorary children, Dennis Dillingham of Parkman, and Winnie (Pike) and her husband, Pat Adelt and son, William of Vermont; close nephews, Bob and Dale Pike of Wellington; her brothers and sisters, Ethel Pike of Wellington, Evelyn Nichols of Skowhegan, Charles Bagley of Harmony, Ralph Bagley and wife, Linda of Harmony, Elaine Bussell and husband, Homer of Parkman, George Bagley and wife, Sharon of Wellington, Marilyn Currier and husband, Hal of Parkman; and many other special family members. She was predeceased by her husband, Clair Pike; son, Duane Pike; her parents; and brother, Wayne Bagley. She will be missed by her large family, close friends, and special neighbors.

She would not have been able to maintain quality of life in her later years without her spectacular medical team, including Dr. Stephanie Lash and Dr. Susan Chessa, whose hugs were a bright spot in her day. In gratitude to Fran Moore, Lesley Chambers, and the entire physical therapy team, in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Physical Therapy Dept., c/o Mayo Regional Hospital, 897 West Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.

Family and friends will hold a graveside committal service at the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford at 1 PM, Friday, August 8, 2014, with Ronald Bagley officiating, followed by a gathering at her daughter Bonnie’s home, 96 Cuddy Road in Cambridge.
