Three injured in two-vehicle collision on Route 2 in Winn

WINN, Maine — Three people were seriously injured when two vehicles collided on Route 2 late Monday afternoon, according to Maine State Police.

Two people were flown by LifeFlight helicopter to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor and a third was taken by ambulance to Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln, Trooper Adam Coover said.

Coover said one of the two vehicles appeared to have crossed the centerline and was in the wrong lane at the time of the crash, which was reported at 5:30 p.m. near Military Road.

Police did not release the identities of those involved in the crash.
