Helena I. Lilley

SMYRNA AND HOULTON – Helena Irene (Ouellette) Lilley, 78, passed away July 30, 2014 at a local healthcare facility surrounded by her family. She was born Aug. 29, 1935 in Dover, NH, the daughter of Leopold and Edwina (Mailloux) Ouellette.

Helena grew up in Rollinsford, NH. Helena worked for many years as a legal secretary. In 1975, she married Gordon Lilley and they made their home in Smyrna. Helena loved scrap booking, rug hooking and photography. She had a passion for making memorable gifts for her children and grandchildren. She was a very loving mother, memere and also found enjoyment in meeting people and talking with them. She was also a very giving person especially when it came to charities.

Helena is survived by her children, Wayne Tibbetts and his wife, Monique of Maine; Anne St. Pierre and her husband, Daniel of Merrill; Jean Sloat and her husband, Richard of Hodgdon; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Edwina Renaud of Rollinsford, NH; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Lilley and her brother, George Ouellette.

Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Visitation with the Rev. David Raymond celebrant. Interment will be in the Smyrna Cemetery. A reception will take place at the Parish Hall following the interment.
