Andrea L. Robinson

MILLINOCKET AND CHESAPEAKE, VA – Andrea L. Robinson, 33, passed away July 25, 2014 after a 4-year battle against cancer. Born in Millinocket, Dec. 30, 1980 to Eldon and Donna Doody, Andrea had a small town upbringing in her close knit family.
She graduated from the University of Maine and became a teacher like her mother and aunt, but put that career on hold for her life’s greatest joy, being a wife and mother.
Andrea was loving and selfless with a magical smile that touched everyone who saw it. Her battle with cancer was inspirational to those around her because she carried herself such that no one knew the battle she fought. She loved her annual family vacations to Disney World, and insisted on making her kids’ birthday cakes as Disney music played in the background. Despite the tiring effects of her disease, she remained fully dedicated to her family through the end.
Left to treasure her memory are her husband of eight years, Grant, and children, Anabelle and Carter. Also carrying on her life’s memories are parents, Donna and Eldon, brothers, Andrew and Aaron; sister, Allison and her son, Justin; her paternal grandparents, Reuben and Edith Doody; maternal grandmother, Yvette Deabay, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles and many cousins. She is predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Henry Deabay.
A visitation gathering will be held 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3 at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 4 at St Martin of Tours Catholic Church of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, 19 Colby St., Millinocket, with Andrea’s Godfather Deacon Danny Watson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Katahdin Area Support Group, P. O. Box 374, Millinocket, ME 04462, the American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Topsham, ME 04086, or the children’s 529 college funds. Messages of condolence may be expressed at
