BANGOR — Sunbury Village Retirement Community will host Bangor Senior Forum: Ask the Professionals, a town hall-type senior information meeting, at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at the facility, 922 Ohio St. Guest speakers will be Dianne Lovejoy, community manager, Sunbury Village; Kelley Howe, director of admissions, Eastside Center for Health and Rehabilitation; Angela Lufkin, Maine market manager, Gentiva Home Health Care; and Jane Skelton, Skelton Law Offices.

New dental residents

BANGOR — Penobscot Community Health Care announced that these new general practice dental residents joined PCHC Dental Center in July, under the direction of Dr. Philip Higgins Jr., chief dental officer and general practice residency director: Dr. Mark Franklin, Dr. Owen Johnson, Dr. Peter Levandoski and Dr. Natalie Sigwart.

Dr. Jenna Gaw will join PCHC Dental Center in August.

PCHC graduated Dr. Wendy Cardenas, Dr. Sonja Evans, Dr. Erin Guttormson and Dr. Mohammad Khosousi from the General Practice Dental Residency program on June 19.

 

Support groups

Supplies grant

BANGOR — Penobscot Community Health Care announced that it has received contributions of

various medical supplies under a grant from the Henry Schein Cares Global Product Donation Program.

Through the program, Henry Schein Inc., a provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, animal health and medical practitioners, will provide several health care product donations valued at $5,000-$25,000 each over the course of two years to PCHC.
