Emergency outage in Aroostook County planned this afternoon to make repairs to power system

FORT KENT, Maine — Utility crews with Emera Maine will be turning off power for about two hours this afternoon to customers along Route 11 from Fort Kent to Allagash in order to make emergency repairs to the system.

Emera reported that the outage was expected to last from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 28.

“This is a necessary interruption to perform repairs to our system in the safest possible manner,” according to a press release issued at about 1 p.m. by Emera.
