Gregory Keith Currier

EAST MILLINOCKET – Gregory Keith Currier, 67, from East Millinocket, passed peacefully at Eastern Maine Medical Center July 21st. He was born February 5th, 1947 in Oromocto, New Brunswick, Canada, one of Ralph and Audrey Currier’s six children.

Greg served in the USAF, and was a Vietnam veteran. He worked at Great Northern Paper for 37 years, retiring in 2008.

Greg leaves behind Sharlett, his loving wife of 45 years, daughter Mary and her husband Brad, son Gregory and his wife Faith. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Audrey, Emily, Nathan, Addison, and Mitchell. Also surviving are his siblings Brian and wife Linda, Pam and husband Nick, Joanna and fiancé John, sister-in-law Dorothy and husband Howard, Susan and husband Chuck, Lucille, Cathy, Debra, brother-in-law Tommy and wife Priscilla and his favorite Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Ken.

He will be remembered by many nieces and nephews and wonderful friends. Greg was predeceased by his parents as well as his brothers Richard and Garth.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff on Grant 4 CCU at EMMC for the care given to Greg this last week.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Greg’s memory may be made to the Heating fund at St. Peter’s Church in c/o Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, PO Box 400, East Millinocket, ME 04430. Funeral services will be at a later date.
