CONWAY, New Hampshire — According to New Hampshire’s attorney general, Abigail Hernandez is back home with her family in Conway, New Hampshire.
Hernandez, 15, was last seen nine months ago walking home from school in Conway, New Hampshire.
The teen’s mother said when she got home from work on the evening of Oct. 9, her daughter was not there.
Authorities said the last cellphone activity they were able to trace to the teen’s phone was around 3 p.m. that day, about a half hour after she began walking home from Kennett High School.
Two weeks after she disappeared, Hernandez’s mother received a letter from Abigail.
Zenya Hernandez, Abigail’s mother, has informed law enforcement officers that “today we are the happiest people on Earth.”
Police say further details will be provided once they determine the information will not compromise the integrity of the ongoing criminal investigation.
No further details have been released regarding the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and her return home.
