Vigil, fundraiser set for 14-year-old Pittsfield boy who died of aneurysm

PITTSFIELD, Maine — Friends and family of a 14-year-old Pittsfield boy who died unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm will gather Monday night to light candles in his memory and show their support, according to a community organization.

The gathering for Nolan Berthelette is set for 9 p.m. Monday at Warsaw Middle School’s soccer and football fields, Heart of Pittsfield announced via its Facebook page.

The boy died Saturday.

During the event, candles and ribbons will be for sale with the proceeds going to the teenager’s family.

Donations can also be given to Rochelle Varney during the vigil or dropped off or mailed to her at 151 School St., Pittsfield, Maine 04967.
