Late pass propels Hampden’s Beale to Speedway 95 victory

HERMON, Maine — Travis Beale of Hampden passed Milo’s Dustin Lancaster on lap 19 of the 20-lap Modified 4/6/8 cylinder Enduro feature at Speedway 95 Thursday night.

Lancaster had led from lap 11, after wrestling the lead away from Hermon’s Andrew Crosby, but was unable to hold off Beale in the final laps.

Lancaster finished second with Rick Gomm of Dixmont finishing third, Crosby was fourth and Alvin MacNevin of Clifton finished fifth.

The Wacky Wednesday race card was moved to Thursday because of rain.
