Corinna man dead in mower-car collision

A Corinna man was killed when the lawn mower he was driving was struck by a car on Corinna Center Road on Wednesday evening, according to a report from WABI.

The victim was identified as Dana Doherty, 79, of Corinna, the report says. Doherty was struck from behind and killed by a car driven by Mark Fransosi of Garland.

Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. William Sheehan told WABI the accident is under investigation.
