David B. Clark

NEWPORT – David B. Clark, 76, died on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at a Bangor hospital following a time of failing health.
He was born on October 11, 1937, in Corinna, Maine, the son of Gerald and Helen Clark. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force. In 1995, he married Kathleen Sedgwick Bouley and they shared 19 years of marriage.
David managed the family business, the Clark Motel, in Newport, for many years and retired from Edwards in Pittsfield. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling until he became handicapped in 2004, requiring daily care from his devoted wife.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Clark of Newport; son, Merrill Clark of Stratham, NH; daughter, Rhonda Clark of Bangor; stepchildren, Gail Cropley and husband, David, of Plymouth, Kathy Bane and husband, Bill, of St. Albans, Andrew Bouley and wife, Kathy, of Clifton, Fred Bouley and wife, Cheryl, of Greenville and Robert Bouley and wife, Sandra, of St. Albans; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; several cousins including, Glennice Willette of Corinna, Doris Todd of Pittsfield, Mildred Buckland of Newport, Virginia Hopkins and her husband, Dale, of Etna, Clifford Bubar, Robert Bubar and Weston Bubar; sister-in-law, Gloria Huff of Burnham; and brother-in-law, Brenton Sedgwick and wife, Diane, of Hendersonville, NC.
He was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Nancy Clark in 1993; and a sister, Rachel Clark.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, July 14, 2014, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Avenue, Pittsfield. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 15, at the funeral home with the Rev. Brenton Sedgwick officiating.
