HERMON, Maine — Penobscot County sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help in identifying two persons of interest in a theft case.

Chief Deputy Troy Morton said deputies responded to C&K Variety on Billings Road in Hermon for a reported theft on June 30.

Morton said a money donation box intended for the Hermon Food Pantry had been stolen from the convenience store.

Through video surveillance footage, police were able to locate two persons of interest, Morton said, and now deputies are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

Anyone with information on the incident should call Sgt. James Kennedy at 947-4585.
