BASEBALL

MILLINOCKET — Any teenagers or local teams interested in playing summer baseball games against teams ages 13-16 should contact Joe Montgomery at 723-4944.

OLD TOWN — The Old Town Recreation Center is launching the Eastern Maine Fall Baseball League, open to kids ages 8-11 (Little League eligible). The EMFBL will be kid pitch and will feature a 14-game regular season, beginning Aug. 24. The league will include playoffs. ORONO — University of Maine Skills Day Camp for children ages 6-12, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., July 7-11, Mahaney Diamond. Registration 8:30 a.m. on July 7. Lunch break at 11:30 a.m. The camp will teach all aspects of the game and will accommodate all skill levels. Fee is $265. MOUNT DESERT ISLAND — 12th running of July 4th Around Mount Desert Island Relay, hosted by Crow Athletics. The 100-kilometer (62-mile) route circles Mount Desert Island while touching every town and village including many scenic seaside areas. WARREN — DSA United will be adding an additional team for the 2015 season and will be hosting an open tryout for U-15, U-16, and U-17 boys 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at the PenBay Indoor Turf & Community Hub. TRIATHLON

ORRINGTON — Bangor YMCA is hosting its annual Tri for the Y Sprint Triathlon at 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 20, at Brewer Lake Boat Launch in Orrington. Proceeds will provide camp, membership and program scholarships for children and teens. LINCOLN — The Lincoln Homecoming Wiffleball tournament is back for the 18th edition on Saturday, July 12, at Mattanawcook Academy practice football field in Lincoln.
