LINCOLN, Maine — Lincoln pitcher Cody Hanscom struck out eight batters in four innings to help Lincoln eliminate Millinocket 14-3 in Little League baseball District 3 tourney action for ages 11-12 on Monday.
Hanscom walked two and allowed four hits to record the win, allowing Lincoln to improve to 1-1.
Alex Tash singled twice and stole three bases to lead Lincoln, while Jackson Weatherbee tripled home a run and Branden Oliver and Christopher Ireland each had an RBI single.
Bennett Dunstan doubled, singled and drove in a run to lead Millinocket, while Caleb York hit a run-scoring single and Jacob Kowalski doubled.

At Old Town, tourney play opened over the weekend in the District 3 Little League baseball all-star tourney for ages 10-11 with Brewer and Old Town each winning two games.
Saturday’s Games — Brewer 9, Bangor West 3; highlight: Jeffrey Hogstram (Brewer) hit a grand slam in the fifth inning on a full count.
Old Town 16, Hampden 6 (5 innings); highlight: Tanner Evans (Old Town), struck out seven.
Bangor East 8, Holbrook 1; highlight: Austin Cook (Bangor East) hit a double in the first inning on a 1-2 count.

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, Casey Sudbeck earned the pitching win, going five innings while allowing one run on two hits, walking two and striking out nine to lead Bronco Little League of Hampden by Bangor in the Junior League all-star game.
Bronco erupted for six runs in the fourth, sending 12 batters to the plate while connecting for six hits and aided by two Bangor errors.
Sudbeck also sparked the offense with a double, three singles and three RBIs. Ryan Hoogterp, Alex Applebee and Cole Tweedie each chipped in with two singles with Hoogterp and Tweedie each driving in a run.
Tyler Parke doubled and singled for Bangor.

At Mansfield Stadium in Bangor, Brewer broke a 5-5 tie with five runs in the bottom of the fifth, sending 10 batters to the plate en route to improving to 2-0.
Brian Howard and Robyn Harris each singled twice for Brewer with Howard driving in two runs.
Hunter Brasslet notched three singles and three RBIs for Old Town while Alex Blackie chipped in with a double, single and RBI.

At Calais, Hunter Curtis pitched a four-inning no-hitter with 10 strikeouts and four walks to lift Ellsworth by Calais in the Little League all-star game for ages 9-10.
Curtis aided his own cause with a triple, double and four RBIs. Chase Crossman and Landon St. Peter each chipped in with a double and RBI while Chase Johnson added a single and RBI.
At Bar Harbor, Quentin Pileggi recorded three singles and an inside-the-park grand slam to lift Acadian (1-0) by Machias (0-1).
Pileggi’s grand slam was a low sharp shot to deep right center field that highlighted Acadian’s 10-run fourth inning.
Wilder Noyes chipped in four singles and two RBIs for Acadian and Luke Horner notched three singles and an RBI.
Kason Ferguson sparked Machias with a two-run single and double. Caleb Campbell added two singles and two RBIs and Ethan Foss slammed a two-run double.

At Machias on Monday, MacKenzie Chapman didn’t allow a hit to help lead Ellsworth by Machias in the District 1 Little League softball championship game for ages 11-12.
Chapman struck out 12.
Trinity Montigny sparked Ellsworth with a single and two RBIs and Maria Wagenknecht added an RBI single.
Machias pitcher Haley Libbey allowed only two hits and struck out three.

At Ellsworth on Saturday, MacKenzie Chipman and Rochelle Swanson each pitched two innings and combined for seven strikeouts and gave up only one hit to help Ellsworth notch the four-inning win in a District 1 Little League softball all-star game for ages 11-12.
Katie Hammer, Sydney Stevens and Jayden Keefe each notched two hits for Ellsworth while Hannah Hanscom added a hit and two RBIs.
Haley Libby singled for Machias.
At Dover-Foxcroft, the Navigators scored seven runs in the second inning en route to the win and improved to 4-2.
Kaleb Smith went seven strong innings to notch the win. Aron Smested contributed two hits and two RBIs.
Brendan Moore and Carter DeRedin each had two hits for Brewer (2-3).
At Searsport on Sunday, Will Ricker pitched six strong innings, giving up no earned runs while scattering three hits and striking out five to lead the Acadians by Waldo.
Gage Feeney and Joe Archambault each hit clutch two-out, two-RBI doubles to lead the offense for Trenton. Cooper Smallidge singled with an RBI while Garrison Looke, Conor Maguire, and Scott Boies each had singles and Dylan Collin contributed a sacrifice fly.
Emery Dinsmore pitched strong in defeat for Waldo going 5 1/3 innings, giving up one earned run on five hits and striking out nine.
