Lloyd R. Pete

LINCOLN – Lloyd R. Pete, 79, husband of Josephine (Afholderbach) Pete passed away June 27, 2014 at a Lincoln hospital. He was born Feb. 28, 1935 in Lincoln, the son of Fred and Evelyn (Hanscom) Pete.

He was a hard worker for Lincoln Pulp & Paper where he retired from. He enjoyed doing puzzles and going to bingo.

He was predeceased by three sisters, Diane Hatch, Helen Tait, Dorothy Pete and three brothers, Lawrence Pete, Merton Pete and Arthur Pete. In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children, Valerie and Tom Mushero, Robin and Mark Savage, Alan Pete, Michael Pete and Anna McRorie, Sandra and Gary Martin, Susan and John Savage, and Ronald and Norma Pete; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, which he enjoyed very much; many nieces and nephews. He also leaves close friends, Kenneth and Wendy Thurlow’s family and Jimmy and Priscilla Clark. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten by many who loved him.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Friday, July 4 at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Jack Stewart officiating.
