Man injured when motorcycle collides with truck in Owls Head

Emergency responders treat an unidentified man injured in an accident near 89 Ingraham Drive in Owls Head on Saturday afternoon.

OWLS HEAD, Maine — An unidentified man was injured when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a car on Ingraham Drive on Saturday, firefighters said Sunday.

Rockland Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service ambulance took the man to Pen Bay Medical Center after the accident was reported near 89 Ingraham Drive at about 3:25 p.m., Owls Head Fire Department Assistant Chief Don Pierce said.

Owls Head firefighters provided traffic control while Rockland personnel handled the accident, Pierce said. The car took minor damage to its front fender.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident, Pierce said. A message left with the department was not returned Sunday.
