AUGUSTA, Maine — Authorities have released the name of a young New Hampshire man found stabbed to death Saturday in Lebanon.
The victim has been identified as Aaron Wilkinson, 18, of Madbury, New Hampshire, according to New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster, Maine State Police Colonel Robert L. Quinn and Madbury Police Chief Joseph McGann.
The investigation into the circumstances of Wilkinson’s death, which has been classified as a homicide, continues.
Wilkinson’s body was found along Long Swamp Road around 4 p.m. Saturday.
Maine State Police spokesman Stephen McCausland said earlier that the state medical examiner performed an autopsy Sunday and determined that the victim died from multiple stab wounds.
Meanwhile, New Hampshire investigators said they got a report from a parent on Saturday that his 18-year-old son was missing from their home in Madbury.
Police reviewed missing person reports from Maine and other states andthe case was handed over to the New Hampshire attorney general’s office, McCausland said.
