Robert Deering Perkins

ST. PETERSBURG, – Robert Deering Perkins, 79 died May 18, 2014 at the Bay Pines VA St. Petersburg, Fl. He was born June 7, 1934 in Bangor, Me., The son of Victor Allan and Jennie (Cort) Perkins. Robert graduated Bangor H.S. class of 1952. Following High School he served in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He attended Husson College graduating in 1959 magna cum laude in Accounting. He is a Past Master Mason Ralph J. Pollard Lodge #214 Orrington, Me. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing trips with family to Canada, flying, reading and puzzle making.
He is survived by friend and former wife Joan H. Dill- Perkins, son Dr. Calvin F. Dill, St. Petersburg, Fl. Daughters: Mrs. Carol (Dill) Moynihan, Atkinson, N.H., Mrs. Kathryn(Perkins) Royal, Cape Coral, Fl. Mrs. Kimberly (Perkins) Johnson, Southbury, Ct., son-in-laws Michael Moynihan, John Royal, Simon Johnson, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, Sister Mrs. Elaine P. Elkin, brother-in-law & best friend Ronald Elkin Orrington, Me. and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by son Bruce C. Dill, Brother Richard A. Perkins, Sister Mrs. Delora Elliott, parents Victor A and Jennie C. Perkins, stepmother Doris (King) Perkins,
Internment services will be July 26, 2014 at Maple Grove Cemetery, Bangor Maine at 11:30 family and friends are welcome.
