POLAND, Maine — A Poland man convicted in 2003 of child molestation has been arrested for child pornography possession, state police said.

Deland Small, 60, was taken into custody by the Computer Crimes Unit on Wednesday and charged with possession of sexually explicit material, according to state police spokesman Stephen McCausland.

Small was taken into custody without incident at his workplace in North Yarmouth and brought to Cumberland County Jail.

The arrest occurred after police seized Small’s computers last month at his home with dozens of images of child porn on them, McCausland said.

Small, who served jail time after being convicted of unlawful sexual contact with a child, was on the state’s sex offender registry for 10 years, with his time on the list concluding last fall.
