D. Robert Fox

PRESQUE ISLE – D. Robert Fox went into the loving arms of our heavenly father June 5, 2014, at the Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle. He was born May 10, 1929, in Westfield, the son of Kenneth and Jerome (Bolster) Fox.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Hazel (Fogg) Fox; and brother Clifford. He graduated Presque Isle High School in 1949 and received an honorable discharge in 1953 from the U.S. Army. He drove tractor trailer truck and owned his own appliance service. He worked at Presque Isle High School and Aurburndale Library, Auburndale, FL. He was a member of Carter Baptist Church, Lakeland, FL, and attended the Presque Isle Wesleyan Church, Presque Isle, and Calvary Baptist Church, Westfield. Dad had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. He lost his voice due to cancer. His hearts desire was to sing in church again. He is singing with the angels. Rest in peace Dad, Papa; we will miss you bunches.

He is survived by his loving family: son, Wayne Fox Sr. and wife Elizabeth of Caribou; daughters, Coleen (Fox) Churchill and husband John of Levant and Sherri (Fox) Theriault and husband Matt of Presque Isle; grandchildren, Sheana, Mindy, Wayne, Chris, Kalen, and Todd; 9 great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial will be held on June 12, 2014, at 1 pm at Marshall Cemetery, Route 1, Westfield, with Pastor Mark Lunn officiating. Those who wish may make donations in his memory to Threads to Breads Community Kitchen, 515 Main St, Presque Isle, ME 04769.
