BANGOR, Maine — Fire investigators have concluded their investigation into a blaze that tore through an Ohio Street apartment complex Monday morning.

A cause has not been determined because of damage caused by the fire, which displaced 10 families among 18 tenants in a 12-unit building at Deerfield Apartments, Sgt. Tim York of the state fire marshal’s office said Tuesday.

York said the fire is not considered suspicious.

The fire started on an outside deck on the third floor, according to York. The sergeant said the investigation is closed, and no charges are expected to be filed.

No tenants were injured in the blaze, which caused extensive damage to the affected building.

The American Red Cross is rendering services to the displaced tenants.
