SURRY, Maine — A Surry woman was charged with operating under the influence Monday after she rolled her vehicle over on Toddy Pond Road.

The accident happened about 5:30 p.m., when Valerie Seavey, 43, rode onto the gravel on the right side of the road and overcorrected, Trooper Bryan Creamer of the Maine State Police said Monday evening.

Both Seavey and her minor-aged passenger had minor injuries but both declined to be taken to the hospital, Creamer said.

Seavey and her passenger both were wearing seat belts, the trooper said.
