Civil War remembrance

Petersburg Battlefield Park Ranger Ann Blumenschine addresses the audience at a Civil War memorial ceremony on May 24 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Bangor. She was accompanied by members of the Daniel Chaplin Camp of Sons of Union Veterans and members of Company B, 20th Maine. Her address and the ceremony were part of the Reverberations series taking place from Maine to South Carolina and from Michigan to Mississippi to commemorate the 1864 Overland Campaign in Virginia and how its devastating impact reverberated across the country.
