BANGOR – Richard A. White, 56, died June 4, 2014 at a Bangor hospital. He was born Apr. 18, 1958 in Akron, Ohio, the son of Richard A. White, Sr. and Barbara R. (Tilley) White.
Richard and his wife, Vicki owned and operated Ohio Street Laundry for 20 years. He later graduated from Easter Maine Community College and worked as a radiographer/x-ray tech at Eastern Maine Med. Center. Richard was interested in military history and enjoyed flying holding a private pilot license with an instrument rating. He also enjoyed bowling at Family Fun Lanes, Bangor.
Surviving is his wife, Vicki P. (Cotton) White; one son, Bradley White of Bangor; his mother, Barbara R. White of Bangor; his father-in-law, Medley Cotton of Hermon; a close cousin, Julie Esp of Nashua, NH; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Andrea and Marc Nicknair of Glenburn and James “Jim” and Donna Cotton of Glenburn; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service honoring Richard’s life will be held 2 PM Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where family and friends may visit from 1 PM until the service begins.
