CEDAR PARK, TEXAS – Natalie Anne Denbow, 74, passed away peacefully on June 1st, 2014 in Austin, Texas. Natalie was born in Bar Harbor, to Mildred and Manuel Young on August 10, 1939.
She attended Pemetic High School in Southwest Harbor. Natalie married Warren E. Denbow on July 3rd, 1961 in Bass Harbor. Natalie worked as the first female Bank Manager of Deering Savings and Loan in Windham, as well as Maine Savings Bank in Kennebunk. She was the Manager of AAA Travel in South Portland, and the Executive Assistant to the President and Vice President of Legacy Partners in San Mateo, California. She was involved in the Chamber of Commerce in Windham and later became president. Natalie’s zest for life lead her to travel extensively in the United States and worldwide and was known by those she met as the person who put the “Sassy into Classy”.
Natalie Denbow was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mildred and Manuel Young, brother, John Young, and sister, Sherri Robbins. Natalie is survived by husband, Warren Denbow of Cedar Park, Texas, sons, Mike Denbow of Portland, Dwayne Denbow of the Bay Area, California, daughter, Michelle Kilic of Round Rock, Texas, granddaughter, Kim Denbow of Concord, California, grandson, Shane Denbow of Vandenburg Air Force Base, Lompoc, California, granddaughter, Selin Kilic of Norwalk, Connecticut, her brother, Manuel Young Jr. of Southwest Harbor, her sister, Angie Lamoine of Swans Island, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
To honor Natalie’s wishes, there will be no services held. Family and friends will be invited to celebrate her life with a martini and a memory. In lieu of flowers and donations, the family requests that you raise a martini and share a memory of Natalie.
