BRUNSWICK, Maine — A 33-year-old woman was arrested Thursday night after police say she struck her former boyfriend with her hands and then chased him, threatening him with a baseball bat.

Harmony Pottle of Brunswick was charged with domestic violence assault and felony criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, Brunswick police Deputy Chief Marc Hagan said.

Officers responded to the New Meadows Motel on Bath Road just before 9:30 p.m., after a 31-year-old man reported that his former girlfriend allegedly had hit his face and neck with her hands and then chased him with a bat, threatening to injure him.

Police arrested Pottle at her home. She was released from the Brunswick police station on $1,000 unsecured bail, and is scheduled to appear in Portland Superior Court on Aug. 19.
