ELLSWORTH, Maine — A fourth person has been arrested in connection with a methamphetamine lab bust in Ellsworth, police said.

Karen Ward, 51, was arrested Friday and charged with trafficking in schedule W drugs, a Class B felony, according to a statement from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

According to the MDEA, Ward was the tenant of the Hancock Street apartment that was searched Thursday.

Jack Lint, 34, and Bridgett Spencer, 30, both of Bangor, and Stanley Swallow, 30, of Ellsworth were arrested Thursday in connection with the case.

Ward is being held on $5,000 cash bail at the Hancock County Jail. Police have responded to 14 meth labs so far this year, compared to 20 for all of 2013.
