Thelma “Timmie” C. Hayward

MACHIAS – Thelma “Timmie” C. Hayward, 83, passed away peacefully June 3, 2014, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Machias, Nov. 7, 1930 to David P. Clemmons and Elodie L. Bagley.
Thelma worked as a telephone operator and at Dunn & Dunn Law Office as well as being a wife, a mother, a foster mom and a “Blueberry Field Boss”. She enjoyed her Friday night suppers out, watching the Boston Red Sox and loved to spend time with her family and friends and made yearly trips to Mass to visit family.
Thelma is survived by her sons, Terry and wife, Audre, Ronny and wife, Laurie, and Ricky and wife, Jessica; daughters, Sherry and husband, Chris, and Ronette; brother-in-law, Lowell “Pud” Hayward, Jr.; sisters, Muriel Watts, Della Foster, and Helen Hatt; sisters-in-law, Barbara Gay, Jean Clemmons and Vivian Leighton; grandchildren, Whitney, Serena, Melissa and husband, Rex, Michael, Meghan and husband, Ben, Ryan and friend, Chrissy, Erica Jean and husband, Rick, Drew and Reese; great-grandchildren, Mason, Peyton, Wesley, Dustin, Justin and Meagan; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, David P. Clemmons and Elodie L. Bagley; 2 infant children, Jill Marie and Mary Lisa; her husband, Richard Hayward; brother, David “Pat” Clemmons; sisters, Grace, Janette, Susie and Dorothy.
Memorial donations can be made to The Ark Animal Shelter in Cherryfield. Viewing hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 6th at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, 220 Court St., Machias. The service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June7th at Center Street Congregational Church in Machias, with a burial following at Jacksonville Cemetery in East Machias.
