Bangor woman who stabbed boyfriend to death in 2012 dies of natural causes

AUGUSTA, Maine — A Bangor woman who had been committed to the Riverview Psychiatric Facility in Augusta after the 2012 stabbing death of her boyfriend has died.

Gail Judd, 55, died of natural causes on May 14 at MaineGeneral Hospital, according to Tim Feeley, spokesman for the state attorney general’s office.

Judd had been arrested by Bangor police in February 2012 and charged with the stabbing death of her boyfriend, Michael Drouin.

In March 2013, Judd was found guilty but not criminally responsible and was immediately committed to the Augusta psychiatric facility.

Judd was granted supervised community time last November.
