GREENVILLE, Maine — Police are looking for an 88-year-old Greenville man who began a drive to New York Tuesday and hasn’t been heard from since.

Elmer MacFadyen was last seen Tuesday in Scarborough before he left in his 2004 silver Chevy Impala bound for Elmont, New York, according to Greenville police. The car has Maine plate 4570 TQ.

Police found that the last time MacFadyen’s phone “pinged” a cell tower was in the Worcester, Massachusetts, area, so most of the search is focused there, police say.

Anyone with information should call the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office at 800-432-7372.
