BANGOR, Maine — A pregnant Bangor woman who allegedly hit her former boyfriend with her car last month and another Bangor woman who pulled a knife during a scuffle with a security officer at the Bangor Mall and wound up injuring herself were among the 34 people indicted Wednesday by a Penobscot County grand jury.

Taneika Belote, 21, was arrested by Bangor police April 22 after she allegedly ran into and injured 33-year-old Rodrigo Ramirez at the Riverview Motel on State Street, according to police reports.

Ramirez, who was the subject of an active warrant, also was arrested.

Belote was charged at that time with aggravated assault, domestic violence assault, domestic violence reckless conduct and driving to endanger. She was indicted on those same charges by the grand jury.

Kimberly Kenney, 50, was indicted on a robbery charge in connection with an April 23 incident at J.C. Penney at the Bangor Mall.

Kenney reportedly left the store with a bag of merchandise she did not paid for and was stopped by store security outside. The store manager called police and reported Kenney produced a knife when stopped.

The security officer demanded the stolen items back when he approached Kenney but she refused to give them up, according to Bangor police.

A tussle ensued and the two fell to the ground, which is when Kenney produced the knife, police said.

The security officer reportedly fought to get the knife away from Kenney, who wound up falling back onto it, cutting her hand. Kenney took off running and got into a red Subaru, but her car was stopped minutes later on Ohio Street, according to police reports.

Police said the stolen property was returned to the store, and the security officer suffered minor scrapes to his hands but was not stabbed.

Also indicted was a registered sex offender from Greenbush.

Roger Summerson II, 42, is a 10-year registrant on the Maine Sex Offender Registry because of his 2012 conviction for possessing sexually explicit material. At that time, he was sentenced to 364 days in jail with all but 30 days suspended.

On Wednesday, he was indicted on two counts of aggravated unlawful furnishing of drugs, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and six counts of refusing to submit to arrest.

The charges stem from incidents that allegedly occurred in 2008 and 2009, Assistant District Attorney Alice Clifford said Wednesday.

Clifford said Summerson is accused sexually assaulting two girls, who were 14 to 15 years old at the time, in his Greenbush home. Summerson also allegedly gave them drugs, Clifford said.
