FRENCHVILLE – Valere Guerrette, 84, died peacefully at a Madawaska health facility, May 25, 2014. He was born in St. Agatha, Feb. 21, 1930, the son of Bert & Bertha Guerrette.
He was a 4th Degree K of C and served as Grand Knight. He retired from Fraser Paper after 39 years of service, delivered meals on wheels for many years and loved gardening.
He is survived by two sons, James and his wife, Diane of Frenchville, Gary and his wife, Nicole of Bristol, Ct.; one daughter, Louise Brown of Madawaska; five grandchildren, Alicia, Scott & Ryan of Bristol, Ct. & Stacey of Hawaii, Troy & wife Amie, and a great-granddaughter, Alli Guerrette of Alberta, Canada. Survived by two brothers, Christian & his wife, Carmen and Gerald, both of St. Agatha, and one sister, Irma Caron of Hartford, Ct. He was predeceased by his parents & his wife, Blanche Dufour.
Friends and relatives may call at the Michaud Funeral Home in Frenchville, from 8-9:45 a.m. Friday, May 30th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the St. Luce Catholic Church with the Rev. James Plourde officiating.
