BREWER – Dana A. Soucie, 63, died May 14, 2014 in Pennsylvania. He was born Jan. 12, 1951 in Bangor, the son of Carroll P. and L. Frances (Fields) Soucie.
Dana was a 1969 graduate of Brewer High School where he was active in football and track. He was a US Navy veteran of Vietnam stationed in Guam from ’70 to ’72 as a Navy corpsman. He worked for American Felt Slipper in Brewer for many years and later moved to North Carolina where he worked for Graybar Electrical Co. Dana was a Red Sox and Patriots fan. He and his wife also enjoyed Nascar events while living in North Carolina.
Surviving is his son, Brock Soucie and his wife, Velta and their children, Anna and Aleks all of Flemington, NJ; a brother, Al Soucie and his wife, Priscilla of Bangor; a sister, Linda Hodgins and her husband, John of Brewer; a niece, Adrienne Eagan and her husband, Richard; three nephews, Tim Hodgins and his wife, Katie, Dominic and Matt Soucie; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and wife, Nancy (Norton) Soucie. He will also be missed by his dear friend, Wayne Robinson, and by his dog, Craven.
Family and friends may visit from 10 – 11 AM, Saturday May 23, 2014 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer where a service honoring his life will be held at 11 AM Saturday, with Pastor David Morrison, a family friend, presiding. Burial with military honors will be afterward at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Capella, P. O Box 552, Holden, Maine 04429.
