Knox County Sheriff’s Office probes restaurant break-in

WASHINGTON, Maine — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a weekend burglary at a local restaurant.

The burglary at the Country Cupboard on Route 17 was reported shortly after 10 a.m. Sunday. Sheriff Donna Dennison said cash was stolen but she did not specify the amount.

There have been no arrests. No further information was immediately available Monday morning. The investigation continues. Deputy Matt Elwell was the responding officer.
