I-95 closures on tap as construction of Union Street overpass begins

BANGOR, Maine — The southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in the area of Union Street will be reduced to one lane Monday night as construction of the Union Street overpass begins.

The southbound side’s passing lane will be closed through 7 a.m. Tuesday.

From 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Tuesday, the southbound onramp from Ohio Street will be closed to traffic, and motorists will be detoured to Hammond Street to access southbound lanes.

Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists.
