OTIS – Bill McManus Sr., 57, passed away unexpectedly May 3, 2014 at his home. He was born Jan. 21, 1957, in Ware, Mass., son of John H. and Margaret M. McManus.
Bill spent most of his early years in Skowhegan and considered that his hometown. Bill took pride in having lived at least for a while in every Continental United State. He spent many years on Cape Cod, in Oklahoma, and Florida. Of all the places he lived, his favorite was Marco Island, Fla., with a close second on Beech Hill Pond in Otis.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife, Sheila of Otis, brother, Joseph McManus Sr. of St. Albans, sister, Linda Williams of Cape Cod, daughter, Donna and husband, Roger Abbott of Madison, daughter, Jessica McManus of Otis, stepdaughter, Megan and husband, Richard Black of Ellsworth, son-in-law, J.J. Stachon, stepson, Robert Morse of Birch Harbor, and his grandchildren, Savannah, Rebecca, Jordyn, Parker, James and Lily. He also had three other grandchildren, John, Robbie, and Laury, that he loved with all his heart. He is survived by many nieces and nephews that he cherished, but he had extra special relationships with his nephews, Kenny Williams and Joe McManus Jr. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Margie McManus of Skowhegan, a sister, Winnie Belliveau, son, Bill Jr. and daughter, Rebecca.
Services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, Town Hill. A Celebration of Life will be held in a couple weeks in Skowhegan.
